This Fall wedding at the WK Kellogg Manor House was one to remember. I couldn’t have ended my 2018 wedding season on a better note! Cassie & Kyle had the best day filled with every good thing one could ever hope for on a wedding day: family, friends & good times.
Thankfully the rain held up! It was definitely a hit or miss kind of day. Luckily I didn’t need to bring out my clear umbrellas after all!
The WM Kellogg Manor House did NOT disappoint. Talk about a gorgeous location for a wedding. The grounds outside by the lake, the bridge, the windmill and the flower gardens were just some of the beautiful places we ventured to for photos throughout the day. The ceremony location outside overlooking the lake was also scenic!
Cassie’s dress, bouquet and… let’s talk about that VEIL! … so many pretty details. She was a positively stunning bride!! I loved the special heirloom jewelry that both Cassie & Kyle incorporated into their day.
Enjoy these beautiful memories from their special Fall wedding, and CONGRATS to the new Mr. & Mrs. DePlancke!
Lauren & Derek’s Fall Engagement was a cold, but color-filled one! It was so great meeting & spending the afternoon with these two. I can’t wait to document their wedding next September! This was a beautiful, last engagement session of 2018 to remember. We started our time at Hydrangea Blu Barn in Rockford (I’m obsessed with this country venue!) and then we explored the areas by the dam in downtown Rockford. Lauren & Derek’s various outfits were on-point – perfect for this chilly Fall day. I love how nicely they coordinated their outfits! I also loved Lauren’s ring. As always, I had fun taking some macro shots of her pretty bling. :)
Congrats, Lauren & Derek! 2019 is going to be a great year and I’m so excited to capture your special day!
I’m still accepting another one or two 2019 weddings! If you’re a bride to be, contact me to see if I have your date available. I’m also booking 2020 weddings. Complete my WEDDING QUESTIONNAIRE to get in touch!
The first two months of Ryan’s life have felt both long and fast all at once. The first month was definitely the hardest, but thankfully the second month felt vastly better. His sleep has been better, he’s been less gassy (TMI ;-), and he’s generally just been happier – which of course ALL makes for a much happier momma too. :-)
Something that has changed within the past 2 weeks is his ability to interact with me so much more. He SMILES when I talk to him, makes the cutest baby sounds as if talking to me, and he KNOWS when I’m there and when I step away even just for a few seconds. He has very watchful eyes for his momma, and though that sometimes drives me nuts, it mostly fills my heart. I love the stronger bond we’re forming now. His snuggles are the BEST!!
One last thing… and this makes me sooo happy. It appears as if I have yet another “PHOTOGRAPHER’S CHILD”. Just like Luke, Ryan loves the camera! Or maybe it’s me he loves… I do quite a bit to get those adorable smiles out of him afterall… ;-)
Robin & Scott are getting married in June 2019! I had so much fun bracing the freezing cold Fall weather with them last week. We started off in beautiful downtown Grand Rapids and then headed to Riverside park for some cool motorcycle photos! I love it when couples want to incorporate their favorite things into their sessions. They both looked super slick next to their Harvey Davidson. ;-)
I can’t wait for their Summer wedding. Congrats you two!!

I photographed Kait & her family of 3 + baby bump this past June at Lake Michigan and now had the joy of meeting their sweet baby Lucas! Kait & I had our babies just a day apart, & had been keeping in touch since our pregnancies. I’m so happy for their now family of four!!!
If you and your family would like to schedule a session together in 2019, I’d love to meet & chat with you! I take a limited amount of sessions each year, so booking early is highly encouraged to ensure my availability.
Starting in 2019 I will also be offering in-home lifestyle sessions in addition to my outdoor & in-studio sessions.
